Abstract

|
Background/Aims: The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual conditions of amputees who are directly using the limb prostheses to be paid through the public benefit system of Korea National Health Insurance Service and to collect opinions about the current system.
Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted among 103 amputees.
Result: It was found that it is necessary to reflect the realistic public benefit standard amount considering the inflation and quality over time.
Conclusion: It is urgently required to establish appropriate standard amount of public benefit for prostheses items Korea National Health Insurance Service
